Gail Christine Matheson was born on July 24th, 1960 in Belmont, Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago to Martin and Theresa Denny. Gail attended private school, in her early years, before migrating to New York at the age of 8 years old. Gail attended Meyer Levin Junior High and then graduated from Tilden High School. She attended City College of New York after leaving high school and later obtained her nursing degree from Veeb Nassau County School of Practical Nursing, in 1990.

Gail met and married her husband, Bernard Matheson on December 13th 1984. Out of this union Gail gave birth to her 2 beautiful daughters; Alexandria born December 1987 and Kele born August 1994. Gail was a very protective mother and kept her children close to her heart until the day she left this earth. She was always their number one cheerleader.

During her nursing career, Gail has worked in various areas. She was passionate about caring for others and treated those in her charge like members of her own family.

Gail’s hobbies were knitting, listening to music, painting and baking. Gail also spent countless hours going to the gym; always trying to sneak in a few extra workouts throughout the day.

Gail accepted the LORD in 2020 and was a member of Bethlehem Assembly of God, pastored by Steven Milazzo.

Gail is preceded in death by her father, Martin Denny. She leaves to cherish her memory, the matriarch of the family, her mother, Theresa Denny. Her girls, Alexandria and Kele. Her husband, Bernard. Her sisters Joan, Sandra, Yvonne and Janet. Her brothers Trevor, Kurt, Ansel and Sam. Also, aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as, grand nieces and nephews. Her beloved childhood friend, Cherry-Ann Dempster and other family and friends.
